The Holmes Chapel Organ

Did you know that the Holmes Chapel, Aeolian-Skinner Organ was installed in 1952 and is used weekly throughout the year for Services, Choir Rehearsals, and extensive practicing. The instrument is in need of a new console, re-leathering of windchests and reservoirs, cleaning of the more than 1,450 pipes (made of various metals and woods), new switching and wiring, and other overdue upkeep, repairs, and maintenance to sustain its weekly use, cherished sound, and value to lead our worship.

Of additional concern is the repair of the west-facing wall where moisture has penetrated the surface. Plastering and paint restoration will be an important part of Holmes Chapel restoration.

This project has been identified by Session and the Capital Campaign Committee as a priority to be included in the soon to be formally launched, Preserve the Pinnacle Capital Campaign.
