Westminster Early Childhood Programs admit children of any race, color, gender, religion, and national/ethnic origin. Westminster Early Childhood Programs do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, or national/ethnic origin in their educational policies, admissions policies or scholarship policies.
Admission is based on available space in the age-appropriate classroom. Class size is based on appropriate teacher-to-child ratios, and on square footage requirements per child, as set by the NYS OCFS and NAEYC.
Admission is based on date of application, with some exceptions. Priority is given to children of families with siblings presently in the school, children of staff members, children of active church members, siblings of school alumni, and children of alumni of the school. Priority waiting lists are also based on date of application. When a classroom is full and a waiting list is necessary, the family at the top of the priority list is contacted first when an opening occurs.
Families are contacted when their child's name appears at the top of the waiting list. If the family is not ready to accept enrollment at this time, but still wishes to remain on the waiting list, their child's name will stay on the top of the list. Each time there is an opening in the appropriate age group, the family will be again be contacted, until the child is enrolled, or until the family asks that their child's name be removed from the waiting list.
